Using the Competitor detail view
Use the Competitor detail view to see, add or modify information for a selected record.
Note:
- The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?
- The workspace can be different based on the access rights or if the installation is customized.
To access the Competitor detail view, select from the Navigation Bar and click to access the Competitors list view. If required, use the to locate a competitor, and click the competitor name. See Using lookup
On this page you can:
- Click or select the current group tab to display the list view.
- Use the Using lookup to search for records. See

- Use the Task Pane group list or common tasks. See Using the Task Pane
The Task Pane contains the
section. In this section, you can:- Add a competitor. See Adding Ad Hoc group records
- Remove a competitor. See Removing Ad hoc records
Information fields
You can specify this information:
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Competitor | The competitor name. |
Account | Click | and select an account using the lookup.
Contact | Click | an select a contact.
Phone | The competitor phone number. |
Web Address | The competitor Web address. |
Rating | The competitor rating. |
Weaknesses | The competitor weaknesses. |
Strengths | The competitor strengths. |
Strategy | The sales strategy that the competitor uses. |
Notes | Notes about the competitor. |
