Tracking a defect
Tracking a defect means working to resolve the defect. Use these questions or refer to the company policies for the business rules for tracking defects in the organization.
- Is it required to associate a ticket
to this defect?
If yes, create a task for each type of work performed. See Using the Defect Tickets tab
- Is it required to track the time spent
working on this defect?
If yes, create a task for each type of work performed.
- Is it required to change the status
of the defect (for example, from Open to In Progress)?
If yes, change the Status field in the Defect detail view. See Changing the status of a defect
- Is it required to add a
resolution for the defect?
If yes, add the resolution on the Defect Detail tab.
