Adding or modifying name information

Use the Edit Name field to add or modify name information. This field ensures that a name includes a first and last name and that the name is stored correctly in the database. The templates and mail merge features require the correct name, title and suffix.

To add or modify name information:

  1. Access the Edit Name field:
    1. Click Contact Edit from the Contact/Account Information view or Contact detail view.
    2. Click Name Edit from the Insert Lead, Lead detail, or User detail view.
  2. Click the Prefix and select an item from the list.
  3. Specify the person first name in the First field.
  4. Specify the person middle name in the Middle field.
  5. Specify the person last name in the Last field.
  6. Click the Suffix and select an item from the list if required.
  7. Click OK.
