Using the Defects tab

The Defects tab on the Ticket and Return detail views displays all associated defects. Use this tab to add or remove an association with a defect.

To access the Defects tab:

  • Access the Ticket or Return detail view.
  • Click the Defects tab. If the tab is not displayed, click More Tabs. See More tabs

On this tab, you can:

  • View the defect details, by performing one of these steps:
    • To access the Defect detail view, click the defect number. See Using the Defect detail view
    • To view the defect description, select the record in the grid. The defect Description displays in the field in the tab view.
  • Associate a defect:
    • Click Associate Defect.
    • Locate and select the item using the lookup. See Finding records.
    • Click Add Selected.
  • Disassociate a defect:
    • Select the record you require to disassociate and click Remove.
    • Click OK.
  • Add a new defect (Ticket detail view only):
    • Click Create Defect.
    • Follow the steps for adding a defect. See Adding a defect.
