Working with the Contact Details tab

The Details Tab displays in the Contact detail view. This tab contains specific information about the contact, such as the local time and time zone where the contact is located, who the contact was referred by, the department in which the contact works, the salutation, and the contact's assistant's name. You can modify the information at any time by selecting a field and specifying new information, or selecting from a list of available items. See Using the Contact detail view

To modify the Details Tab:

  1. Click the Details tab from the Contact detail view of the contact you require to change. If the tab is not visible, click More Tabs. See More tabs
  2. Click Save, when finished.
    Field Description
    Alumni The name of the school, college, or university from which the contact graduated. Click the field, and specify the required changes.
    Birthday The contact birthday. Click Calendar or, select the contact birth date, and click OK.
    Children The name(s) of the contact children. Click the field, and specify the required changes.
    Company Context The contact role in the company. Click the arrow and select an item from the list.
    ContactID Displays the contact ID number that is automatically generated when the contact is created. You cannot change this number.
    Create User, Create Date The name of the user that created the contact and the date it was created.
    Cuisine Preference The contact food preferences. Click the Ellipses menu, select an item or items from the list, and click OK.
    Department The contact department. Click the arrow and select an item from the list.
    Email 2 and Email 3 If the contact has more than one email address, enter the addresses in the EMail 2 and EMail 3 fields.
    Employer(s) The name of the contact previous employer. Click in the box, and specify the required changes.
    Fax Contact fax telephone number. Click in the field and specify the required changes.
    Gender The contact gender. Click the arrow and select an item from the list.
    Home Contact home telephone number. Click in the field and specify the required changes.
    Import Source Displays a value if the contact information was imported from another source.
    Interests The contact's interests. Click the Ellipses menu, select an item or items from the list, and click OK.
    Language The language the contact speaks.
    Marital Status The contact marital status.
    Modify User, Modify Date The name of the user that last modified this contact and the date the change was made.
    Nationality The contact nationality.
    Other An additional phone umber for the contact. Click the field, and specify the required changes.
    Pager The contact pager number. Click the ffield, and specify the required changes.
    Preferred Name The contact preferred name.
    Prefix Suffix Language Override The selected language code is used by the Contact to update the prefix and suffix of the Contacts' pick list in the required language. You can set this value for each Contact. The default value is based on the browser language.
    Referred By If the contact was referred by someone, specify the name in this field.
    Spouse The name of the contact spouse. Click the field, and specify the required changes.
    Time Zone The time zone where the contact is located. Click the arrow and select from the list.

    Click Show Local Time to display the local time for the contact.

    Additional information is available if your implementation includes a back office extension. This information is for display only and must be added or edited in the integrated application.
