Closing an account

To close an account you are no longer working with, but require to retain all of the history, you can change the status of the account in the Account detail view to Closed. For future reference and reporting purposes, you must provide the reason for closing the account. A closed account can still be edited.

To close an account:

  1. Select Accounts from the Navigation bar.
  2. Find the account to be closed, and select the account name.
  3. Click the Status arrow and select Closed in the Account detail view.
  4. Specify this information in the Closed Account window:
    • Click the arrow to select from the list for the Reason Lost.
    • Click the Closed Date (Calendar) and select a different date if necessary.
      Note: This information is available on the Account detail view Details tab.
  5. Click Save.
