Adding Products to an Opportunity

You can add opportunity products when you create an opportunity or from the Opportunity detail view Products tab using the Lookup Product window.

To add:

  1. Select the Products tab and click Include Product from the Opportunity detail view. See Using the Opportunity detail view
    Note: To add a product you can also click Include Product from the Insert Opportunity view, in the Products tab. See Adding a new opportunity
  2. Use the Lookup to select the product(s) you require to add to the opportunity.
    1. To select more than one record, press [Ctrl] or [Shift], and highlight the records.
    2. Click Add Selected to add the selected products and remain in the window.
    3. When finished adding products, click Close to close the window.
  3. Click Refresh Pricing in the Opportunity Tasks section, in the Task pane, to retrieve the price of the added product.
  4. Click Edit next to the product you require to modify, make you changes in the Edit Opportunity Product window, and click OK. See Modifying Opportunity product information
    Note: On this page, you can:
    • Click the record you require to modify, make your changes in the grid, and click Save. To undo your changes, click Reset before you click Save.
    • You can modify the quantity, price, or discount
    • The currency type and symbol are determined by the multi-currency settings.
