Adding Metrics

You can use the Add Metric or Edit Metric windows to add a new metric or edit an existing metric. Metrics determine how dashboard widget data is calculated.

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?

To add a metric:

  1. Click Entity Manager on the Navigation Bar.
  2. Select the entity of metrics to be added from the Entity Manager field.
  3. Click Add on the Metrics tab in the lower pane.
  4. Select the In Dashboard? check box to display the metric for dashboards. For more information about exposing entities, metrics and filters for dashboards, see Exposing an Entity for Dashboards
  5. Specify the metric name for the Infor CRM SLX Web Client in the Display field.
    Note: A metric and filter cannot have the same name.
  6. Select the metric type from the Type field. Possible values:
    • Metric: A calculation based on an aggregation only.
    • Date Difference Metric: A calculation based on an aggregation between two date fields.
      Note:  If the metric type is set to Date Difference Metric you must select the date fields to be calculated from the From and To fields.
  7. Click the Fields arrow and select the required entity property to use for the metric calculation. If required, click the plus sign to expand the list of fields. The available fields depend on the entity selected in step 2.
  8. Select the calculation type from the Aggregations field. Possible values:
    • Total (sum)
    • Count
    • Average
    • Minimum Value
    • Maximum Value
  9. Click OK.
