Widget Settings

You can use the Widget Settings window to define the widget properties and the data that must be displayed in the widget.

To access this window you can:

Select Add Widget option on the Dashboard menu and select the type of widget in the Add Widget window displayed.
Note: You can also click Settings on an existing widget to edit the widget.
Note: For Group List widgets these settings are located on the General Options:

Width

The horizontal space the widget must occupy on the dashboard. By default, the width is set to 12. However, you can use the slider to set this value. If the width is set to a smaller value, more widgets are displayed in the same line. For example, if you set the width for the widget to 6, two widgets are displayed in the same line. If you set the width to 4, three widgets are displayed in the same line.

Height

The vertical space the widget must occupy on the dashboard, expressed in Pixelspixels. By default, the height is set to 450px. However, you can specify a higher or lower value to increase or decrease the height.

Title

The title to be displayed in the widget title bar. By default, the title is set to the name of the widget type you select. However, you can modify the title.

Subtitle

The text that provides the additional information about the widget. By default, the subtitle is blank.

Limit

The maximum number of items to be displayed in the widget. By default, the limit is set to 10.
Note: This field is not displayed for Line widgets. Customer Journey Opportunity Kanban Widget. See Working with a Dashboard Customer Journey Opportunity Kanban widget.

Goal

A numeric value that represents or determines the goal that is set. The goal is defined for these three widgets:
  • Bar: Specifying a goal adds a vertical dotted line indicator that represents a numeric goal on the bar chart. For example, a sales revenue goal.
    Note: Specifying a goal affects the scale of the X-axis.
  • Line: Specifying a goal adds a vertical dotted line indicator that represents a numeric goal on the line chart. For example, a sales revenue goal.
    Note: Specifying a goal affects the scale of the X-axis
  • Gauge: Specifying a goal determines the highest value on the gauge chart. For example, a sales revenue goal. By default, this value is set to 0. However, for the gauge chart to display the data correctly you must specify a value that is higher than Minimum.

X-Axis

The text that provides additional information about the data for the horizontal line (X-axis) of the chart. For example, Total Sales in millions of dollars. By default, this field is blank.
Note: This field is displayed only for Bar, Column, Bubble, and Line widgets.

Y-Axis

The text that provides additional information about the data for the vertical line (Y-axis) of the chart. For example, By Account Manager. By default, this field is blank.
Note: This field is displayed only for Bar, Column, Bubble, and Line widgets.

Minimum

The lowest or starting value on the chart that is determined based on the Goal setting. By default, this value is set to 0. However, you can specify a value that is lower than the Goal value.
Note: This field is displayed only for the Gauge type of widget.

Always Show Values

If this option is set to ON, the data values are displayed in the widget. Else, the data values are displayed only when you rest the pointer over a bar, column or point.
