Editing the Account Hierarchy custom setting

You can edit the Maximum number of Accounts to display value for the Account Hierarchy secured action, on the Secured Actions page, to set the number of accounts to be displayed when the (View Parent/Child Hierarchy) option is used on the Account detail view page.

Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access this feature.

To edit the Account Hierarchy custom setting:

  1. Select Administration On the Navigation bar.
  2. Click Custom Settings. The Custom Setting List view is displayed.
  3. Click the Maximum number of Accounts to Display option for the Account Hierarchy custom setting.
    Note: The details of the selected custom setting are displayed.
  4. Specify this information:
    Category
    Verify that the name is Account Hierarchy.
    Note: You must not modify the category name.
    Key
    Verify that the value is Maximum number of Accounts to display.
    Note: You must not modify the key value.
    Data Value
    The number of child records to display for an Account Hierarchy.
    Note: By default, this field is set to 500 to ensure that the performance of the application is not impacted. However, the administrator can modify this value.
    Data Type
    The data type in which the Data Value is expressed.
    Note: By default, this field is set to Number and cannot be modified.
    Version
    The version in which this data is updated.
    Note: The version number is not updated automatically.
