Adding a User

Review the employee access to Infor CRM and select the first four check boxes, before you add one or more users. See New employee access to Infor CRM SLX

Note: 
  • You cannot add Infor CRM SLX administrators (the user with the user name admin)
  • The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?

To add a user:

  1. Select Add Users from the Administration menu.
  2. Select the type of user to add in the Add field.
  3. Click Refresh Licenses to update the available license count.
  4. Select the number of users to add in the Quantity field. The number of users available for that license type is displayed next to the Quantity field.
  5. Proceed to Step 8 to manually modify each tab in the user profile to configure the settings.
  6. Select the Create Profile From check box to create the user from a template or using the profile of an existing user.
  7. Select the Template option and specify the user template name in the Templates field, to add a user based on an existing template user.
    Note: 
    • To add a new user based on an existing user profile you can also select Existing User option and specify the existing user name in the User field.
    • If the template or user is not assigned to the Standard user role, a new users created from the profile may not have access to some Web Client features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?
  8. Select the tabs to copy from the template or user profile:
    • General: General and department settings are copied. The Username, Name, Title, and Email fields do not apply when copying the information.
    • Employee: The Fax, Mobile, Pager, Direct, PIN#, Accounting, and all Personal fields do not apply when copying information.
    • Security: All security settings are copied.
    • Teams: All teams settings are copied.
    • Calendar: All calendar settings are copied.
    • Service/Support: All service and support settings are copied.
    • Client Options (Client System): The default account owner and base template settings are copied.
  9. Click OK.
    Note: When you add a new user, a site code is automatically assigned to the individual.
  10. Modify the user profile in the Users Detail view after the new user is created. See Changing a user profile
    Note: You must provide the username and password to new users. To avoid sharing the default password, change the password to a generic password and instruct users to change their password the first time they log in to Infor CRM SLX. See Change a password (Administrator)
  11. Click Save.
    Note:  If you are integrated with Infor OS (Ming.le), you must add the user to Infor Ming.le. See Promoting Users to Infor OS Portal (Ming.le)
