Rebuilding the Database Schema

You can use rebuilding the database schema to update the database structure to match the entity model. You must rebuild the database schema after creating a new entity or editing an entity or after installing a bundle with entity changes.

Note: Only the system administrator can access these features.

To rebuild the database schema:

  1. Click Rebuild Database Schema in the Developer Tools menu. The Rebuild Database Schema window is displayed.
  2. Click Rebuild Schema. The schema rebuilds and the status displays in the status field.
  3. Click Close.
    Note: The dialog box can be closed at any time after the rebuild is started. The rebuild continues till completion. Once completed you can view the log information.
