Downloading the Application Architect (Infor CRM SLX Cloud only)

Downloading the Application Architect enables Cloud administrative users to create customizations in Application Architect in a local environment with a local database.

If the Application Architect is downloaded, you can download a model to replace the local model with the model from the Infor CRM SLX server specified. Downloading the model overwrites any local customizations. For more information see the Application Architect help topic “Downloading the Model”.

Note: 
  • Only the system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.
  • This feature requires the SQL Server sa password and the sysdba password.

To download the Application Architect from the Infor CRM SLX Web Client:

  1. Click Options on the Tools menu.
  2. Click Download Application Architect on the General tab.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Unzip the StandaloneAAInstall.zip file and extract the content.
  5. Double Click setup.exe in the Install folder.
  6. Click More Info and click Run anyway.
  7. Click Yes.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Select I agree to the license terms and conditions option and click Install.
  10. Click Close.
  11. Click Yes if Microsoft SQL is not detected, install Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express.
    Note: To Choose Directory for Extracted Files, use the suggested location, or click Browse to select another location, and click OK.
  12. Click Next to install the Infor CRM Stand-alone Application Architect.
  13. Type the SQL Server sa password and click Next.
  14. Click Install.
  15. Click Yes to restart to restart immediately or No to restart later.
    Infor CRM SLX strongly recommends selecting Yes to restart immediately.
  16. Click Download and install this feature to install .NET Framework 3.5 (including 2.0 and 3.0).
  17. Open Application Architect.
  18. Click Close.
  19. Click Finish.
  20. Click Log on to ellipsis button on Please log on page in Application Architect.
  21. In the Configure Database Connection window, on the Connection tab complete the following:
    • Type Saleslogix_Eval in the Alias box.
    • Select System.Data.SqlClient option in the Provider box.
    • Type the server name and SQL Express instance name of the installed database in the Server Name box.

      For example MyServer\Saleslogix
    • Type sysdba in the User Name box.
    • Type the sysdba password in the Password box.
    • Click Database and select saleslogix_eval.
    • Click Test Connection.
    • Click OK.
  22. Click OK to close the Configure Database Connection window.
  23. Click OK to close the Data Link Manager window.
  24. Click OK.
