Closing an Opportunity (lost)
To close an
opportunity that
is
lost:
- Access the Opportunity detail view of the opportunity to be closed.
- Select Closed-Lost in the Status field.
- Modify the Actual Amount of the sale if required.
- Modify the Actual Close date if required. To modify the date, click , select a new date, and then click .
- Click Reason Lost field. , select an item or items from the list, and then click in the
- If required, click the Competitor to select the competitor that lost the opportunity. To select a competitor, select a competitor from the Find a Competitor window, and then click .
- Specify any additional notes in the Comments field.
- Click .
