Using SpeedSearch from the Menu Bar
You can select the types of records to search, specify the search criteria and perform a SpeedSearch from the Menu Bar.
Note:
- The previously selected record types remain selected until you clear them.
- If you are in a list or detail view, and SpeedSearch is set up to search against the record type, the in focus record type automatically selected to search.
- The most frequently used options are listed under Most Frequently Used. The number of Most Frequently Used to display is determined by the administrator. If multiple record types have the same frequency, then the option most recently used is displayed.
To perform a SpeedSearch from the Menu Bar:
- In the menu bar, SpeedSearch box, specify the type of records to search, click the
drop-down arrow to select the check boxes of the desired record types.
- To clear all check boxes clear the Clear or Select All check box.
- To select all check boxes select the Clear or Select All check box.
- Specify the search criteria in the SpeedSearch field, and click option. As you type, a list of matching options
displays below based on the selected record types. Note: To search based on only the first few letters, type the first few letters, and then add an asterisk to return records starting with the specified letters.
- Click . SpeedSearch opens with your search results and allows you to select additional options.
