Converting a quote to a sales order

To convert a quote:

  1. Open the BBG & Doyle account detail view.
  2. Click the Quotes tab.
  3. Click the Quote Number to open the Quote Detail view.
  4. On the Task Pane, in the Quote Tasks section, click Convert to Sales Order.
    A sales order is created with the Quote ID populated with the original quote ID. The quote record remains, but the Sales Order ID is populated with the new sales order ID and the status is changed to Won.
  5. View the Sales Order Snapshot. Depending upon the assigned implementation you may be required to promote the required changes to the back office application. If you are required to promote new sales orders, you can see one of the following messages:
    Message Action to be performed
    There are pending changes since the last promotion on <date and time of the last promotion>, pricing information may be incorrect. Please submit changes using the Promote link in the Task Pane. In the Task Pane, click Promote to promote your changes to the back office application.
    There are no pending changes since the last promotion on <date and time of the last promotion>. No action is required.
