Sales Order Information Fields

The following table describes the default information fields.

Field Description
Account The account associated with the sales order. To find an account, click (Find). This information is required.
Account Manager Insert Sales Order only. Displays on the Sales Order detail view Details tab after creating the sales order. You can add the Sales Order.

The individual in the company who is responsible for the account. Click (Find) to find the person or team within your organization that manages the account and this sales order. For more information, see Finding Records.

Back Ordered

Sales Order detail view only

Indicates if the products for the sales order are back ordered.

Closed Date

Sales Order detail view only

The date on which the sales order was closed.
Note: When the status is changed to Closed, the current date is automatically populated. Click Calendar to change the date.
Comments Type any additional notes about the sales order.
Currency The exchange rate for the sales order. Click (Find) to open the lookup and select an exchange rate.
Customer RFQ

Sales Order detail view only

The customers request for quote reference number.

Date Promised

Sales Order detail view only

The date on which the sales order is due to the customer.

To change the date, click calendar_new to select a date, and then click OK.

Date Requested The date on which the sales order is requested.

To change the date, click calendar_new to select a date, and then click OK.

Due Date

Sales Order detail view only

The date on which the sales order is due.

To change the date, click calendar_new to select a date, and then click OK.

Exchange Rate Displays the Exchange Rate if you selected a Currency.
Exchange Rate Date Displays the date on which you set the Exchange Rate, if you selected a Currency and set an Exchange Rate.
Opportunity The opportunity associated with the sales order. To find an opportunity, click (Find).
Order ID Sales Order detail view only

The unique ID assigned when the sales order was created.

Order Location

(Site, Warehouse, or Office)

Back Office Integration only

The label depends upon options selected by your administrator

The site, warehouse, or office that generated the sales order. Click (Find) to find the appropriate location.
Purchase Order The customer's Purchase Order number.
Quote Sales Order detail view only

The quote associated with the sales order. To find a quote, click (Find).

Contact

The Sales Order detail view Details tab after the sales order is created. Click (Find) to find the contact requesting the sales order.

Status The status of the sales order.

To change the status, click the drop-down arrow and select from the list.
