Resolving Duplicate Leads Found During Import

When importing leads, you can look for other leads or contacts that exist in the database. Use this view to manually import or merge the duplicate records.

Note: Infor CRM SLX can only search for duplicate records that you have permission to view. A duplicate record that you are not able to access may still exist.

To search for matching records:

  1. Open the Import History Detail view, and click the Duplicates tab.
  2. Click Resolve for the lead to be re-imported or merged.
  3. Select the type of records to be searched, next to Type.
  4. Under Match Filters, select the filter check boxes to be applied.
  5. Select one of the following Options:
    • Match all selected filters - A record is a duplicate, only if it matches all of the selected filters.
    • Match any of the selected filters - A record is a duplicate, only if the record matches all of the selected filters.
  6. To perform an Advanced Search, select Advanced Options.
  7. Click Update Potential Matches.
  8. Do one of the following:
    1. Merge the lead with a matching contact:
      1. In the Matched Contact/Lead Records grid, click Merge for the record to be merged with.
      2. Complete the steps for merging records.
    2. Manually import the lead:
      • Click Insert Lead.
    3. Click Cancel to leave the lead as a duplicate.
    Note: Once a duplicate is resolved, this record is removed from the Duplicates tab.
