Using the Discrete type of address

Inbound BODs from some ERP applications can contain addresses of the type ‘Discrete’ or ‘Text’. By default, addresses of the type, ‘Text’ are configured in the BOD field mappings, in Infor CRM SLX. To configure BOD field mappings for the addresses of the type, ‘Discrete’, see Enabling the Discrete type for the address.

Note: All address properties in a BOD must be configured as Text or Discrete type. Configuring address properties as Text and Discrete results in duplicate entries.

For example, this is an incorrectly configured BOD field mapping for a standard BOD:

Address 1 Text
Address 2 Text
Address 3 Text
City Discrete
State Discrete

The recommended configuration is:

Address 1 Discrete
Address 2 Discrete
Address 3 Discrete
City Discrete
State Discrete
