Creating a new ION Workflow

Infor CRM SLX provides nine standard Workflows. You can also create new Workflows.

To create a new Workflow:

  1. Create the Workflow in ION Desk.
    1. Log on to Infor Concierge and locate the KB link 1974722.
    2. Download the zip file available in the KB article.
    3. Extract the files to a local folder.
    4. Log on to ION Desk connected with Infor CRM SLX.
    5. Select Model > Monitors and workflows > Workflows.
      The Workflows window is displayed.
    6. Click (Upload). The Upload Local File window is displayed
    7. Click (Open). The Open window is displayed.
    8. Navigate to the location at which the files extracted in step 1c are saved.
    9. Double-click the workflow_seed.xml file.
    10. Click OK. The Import window is displayed.
    11. Click OK.
    12. Click on the workflow_seed widget, to activate the workflow.
      Note: The workflow may not be activated, if you navigate out of the web page before the activation is complete.
  2. Create a corresponding Workflow definition in Infor CRM SLX.
    1. Click (App menu).
    2. Click Infor CRM.
      The Infor CRM SLX Welcome page is displayed.
      Note: Non SSO customers will need to login to Infor CRM SLX.
    3. Select Integration > Integrations.
      The Integrations List view is displayed.
    4. Click the ION Workflows tab.
      Note: Select the Enabled Check box, if not selected.
    5. Click +.
      Note: The Insert ION Workflow Definition window is displayed.
    6. These fields are displayed. Specify or select values:
      Workflow Name
      Specify workflow_seed.
      Entity
      Select Ticket.
      Active
      Select this check box to set this workflow to active state.
      Lock entity Fields
      Leave blank.
      Owned By
      Use the default option. Assigned To.
      Approver Email List
      Use the default values. email1;email2;email3
    7. Click OK.
  3. Add trigger conditions to the workflow_seed Workflow.
    1. Click workflow_seed on the ION Workflows tab.
    2. Click Edit Condition.
    3. Select Status Code,Equal to and Open in the Attributes field, respectively.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Select the Auto Triggered check box to automatically trigger this Workflow.
    6. Click Save.
  4. Trigger the workflow_seed Workflow.
    1. Log on to Infor CRM SLX as administrator or Sales representative.
      Note: If you are SSO enabled, you are automatically signed in.
    2. Select New > Ticket…
    3. Set the Status field to Open.
    4. Click Save.
      Note: 
      • If SSO is enabled in the organization, you will receive a notification in Infor Ming.le and an email.
      • If SSO is not enabled in the organization, only an email notification will be sent.
      • Once you receive a notification of successful configuration, you can change the workflow name and add workflow field mappings as required. (See Creating ION Workflow field mappings)
      • Ensure that workflow name in Infor CRM SLX matches the Workflow name in ION Desk.
