Configuring the Welcome Page Web Feed Widget

To configure the Web Feed widget:

  1. On the Navigation pane, click Welcome.
  2. Select the tab that you want to add a widget to or contains the widget you want to edit.
  3. Add or edit a web feed widget. See Using Welcome Page Widgets
  4. In the Title field, specify a widget title.
  5. In the Feed Address field, specify or paste the URL of the feed to be added.
  6. Click the Show field and select one of the following:
    • Headline only: Displays only the headline of each feed story.
    • Headline and summary: Displays the headline and a summary of each feed story.
  7. In the Maximum of field, specify a number between 1 and 25 to determine the maximum number of feed items to display.
    Depending on the web feed, fewer items are displayed. The default number is 10, a common limit on many web feeds.
  8. Do one of the following:
    • Accept the height as the default of 250 pixels.

      This is about the same size as a Group List widget with 10 visible records.

    • Change the height to any number between 100 and 1000.

      For example, changing the height to 500 pixels makes the widget twice as tall, while changing the height to 125 pixels makes the widget half as tall.

  9. Click OK.
    The web feed is added to the tab.
