Closing an Opportunity (lost)
To close an
opportunity that has been lost:
- Open the Opportunity Detail view of the opportunity to be closed.
- In the Status field, select Closed-Lost.
- If required, modify the Actual Amount of the sale.

If required, modify the Actual Close date. To modify the date, click

select a new date, and then click .

In the
Reason Lost field, click
(), select an item or items from the
list, and then click
.

If required, click the Competitor
() to
select the competitor that lost the opportunity. To select a competitor, select
a competitor from the Find a Competitor
window, and then click .
- In the Comments field, specify any additional notes.
