Closing a Defect

The stage at which a defect is closed and the person responsible for closing the defect depend on the process within your company.

Note: The security access determines what functions are available. Contact the administrator for any access rights changes. WebViewer users may not access full functionality.

To close a defect:

  1. Open the Defect Detail view.
  2. Open the Details tab and ensure the Resolution information is complete.
  3. Open the Defect Tasks tab and ensure any needed changes made to defect tasks for this defect prior to closing.
  4. In the Fixed in Version field, select an item from the list.
  5. In the Status field, select Closed.
  6. Click save.png (Save).
