Editing Opportunity Product Information

Use this dialog box to enter product information such as quantity, price, or discount.

To edit opportunity product information:

  1. From the Opportunity Detail view Products tab, click the Edit hyperlink for the product you want to edit or make your changes in the Products grid.
  2. View or edit any of these fields:
    Line Number
    Displays the line number assigned to each item on the opportunity.
    Product
    Displays the product's name.
    Description
    Defaults to the product’s description. You can add or edit the description.
  3. If non-integrated, on the Pricing tab view or edit any of the following fields:
    Quantity
    Specify the amount of this product to be added. The Extended Price is automatically calculated.
    Price Level
    Displays the default price level for the product. Click the drop-down arrow and select an item from the list.
    Unit Price

    Displays the per unit price defined for the selected product.

    If multi-currency is enabled:
    • Opportunity: Displays the unit price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    • Base: Displays the unit price in the currency defined for your organization.
    Discount
    Specify a discount percentage. The number is automatically changed to a percent. For example, "50" is "50%". If you enter ".5", then ".5%" is specified.

    The Extended and Adjusted Price are automatically calculated.

    Adjusted Price
    Specify the adjusted price using the opportunity currency.

    The Discount and Extended price are automatically recalculated.

    If multi-currency is enabled:
    • Opportunity: Displays the adjusted price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    • Base: Displays the adjusted price in the currency defined for your organization.
    Extended Price
    Displays the calculated total of the product price multiplied by the quantity, less any discount.
    If multi-currency is enabled:
    • Opportunity: Displays the extended price in the currency defined for the opportunity.
    • Base: Displays the extended price in the currency defined for your organization.
  4. In a Back Office Extension integrated environment, use the Sub-Lines tab to view additional details. For specific questions please refer to the documentation for the integrated application or contact the administrator.
  5. Click OK.
