Using the Workflow Definition Detail View

Use the Detail view to see, add, or edit information for a selected record. The Detail view consists of information boxes, tabs, and a user-defined middle section.

A workflow is used to automate the tasks and accelerate the various processed in an organization

Infor CRM SLX supports two options for automating workflow processes or notifications.

  • ION Workflows support publishing CRM content as Infor OS based alerts, notifications or approval workflows in the integrated Infor Ming.le environment.

ION Workflows

The ION Workflow integration provides an integration of Infor CRM SLX based activity with the Infor OS collaboration tools. The CRM based trigger conditions and corresponding data content published to Infor OS are defined in the ION Workflow Definition form. The CRM based data content is published to Infor OS by menas of a Workflow BOD. The actual workflow process steps and notification logic are defined in the Infor OS based ION Desk Workflow editor. To open the ION Workflow Definition Detail view
  • On the Navigation bar, click Integrations.
  • In the list view, click ION Workflow.
  • Click the Workflows tab, and then click the Workflow Name.

You can view and edit the following Information Fields:

Property Description
Workflow Name The unique workflow name as defined in the ION Desk Workflow editor.
Description A brief description of the workflow’s purpose.
Active Select the Active check box to enable the workflow.
Auto Triggered

Select the Auto Triggered check box to enable active monitoring of updated data content based on the trigger condition.

Clear the Auto Triggered check box for manual workflows.

Lock Entity Fields Select the Lock Entity Fields check box to maintain the data content until the workflow is approved or rejected.
Owned By Defines the entity property used for notifications to the data owner.
Entity

Defines the primary business entity or data content for the workflow.

This information is read-only.

Approver Email List Literal notification email addresses provided to the ION Desk Workflow editor.
Trigger condition

Trigger condition

Defines the data content required to start or launch the execution of the workflow.

Click Edit Condition to define the condition by selecting an entity property, selecting an operator, and then providing the constant value for the entity property to be compared with. Complex trigger conditions are built using the Add icon, ‘+’, to include an additional statement. For more information see ” Setting Trigger Conditions for a Workflow

The ION Workflow trigger condition is met when all conditional statements are true and one or more of the properties specified in the trigger condition was updated in CRM. Once the conditional requirements are met by new or updated data content, the workflow starts.

CRM Workflows

The CRM Workflow provides automated email notifications directly from CRM, with or without ION integration. The CRM based trigger conditions and corresponding notification template are defined in the CRM Workflow Definition form.

To open the CRM Workflow Definition Detail view
  • On the Navigation bar, click Integrations.
  • In the list view, click CRM Workflow.
  • Click the Workflows tab, and then click the Workflow Name.

You can view and edit the following Information Fields:

Workflow Name A unique workflow name.
Description A brief description of the workflow’s purpose.
Active Select the Active check box to enable the workflow.
Auto Triggered

Select the Auto Triggered check box to enable active monitoring of updated data content based on the trigger condition.

The manual workflow execution option is not supported by the CRM Workflow interface.

Owned By Defines the entity property used for notifications to the data owner.
Entity

Defines the primary business entity or data content for the workflow.

Initial Delay (Optional) Specify a number of minutes by which to delay the start of the workflow when additional work may be required by the user For example, to prevent triggering a workflow when a user may perform consecutive edits.

Defines the data content required to start or launch the execution of the workflow. CRM starts the workflow when the conditional requirements are met by new or updated data content.
