Adding Metrics

Use the Add Metric or Edit Metric view to add a new metric or edit an existing metric. Metrics determine how Dashboard widget data is calculated.

The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features.

To add a metric:

  1. On the Navigation Bar, click Entity Manager.
  2. From the Entity Manager field, select the entity of the filter to be added.
  3. On the Metrics tab in the lower pane, click add.png (Add).
  4. To expose the metric for dashboards, select the In Dashboard? check box. For more information about exposing entities, metrics and filters for dashboards, see Exposing an Entity for Dashboards
  5. In the Display field, specify the metric name be displayed in the Infor CRM SLX Web Client.
    Note: A metric and filter cannot have the same name.
  6. From the Type field, select:
    • Metric: a calculation based on an aggregation only.
    • Date Difference Metric: a calculation based on an aggregation between two date fields.
  7. Click the Fields drop-down arrow and select the entity property you want to use for the metric calculation. If necessary, click the plus sign to expand the list of fields. The available fields depend on the entity selected in step 2.
  8. From the Aggregations field, select the type of calculation:
    • Total (sum)
    • Count
    • Average
    • Minimum Value
    • Maximum Value
  9. If the metric type is Date Difference Metric, from the From and To fields, select the date fields to be calculated.
  10. Click OK.
