Workflow Step Approval, and Disapproval examples
A status of Approved is applied once the specified number or percentage of approvers have approved the step.
A status of Disapproved is applied once the remaining pending approvers are no longer able to obtain the approval criteria.
For example, if the CRM Workflow step has a team of two approvers, an approval criteria of
100% and an expiration setting of seven days.
- The workflow step is disapproved as soon as the first approver disapproves the step since the 100% criteria is no longer possible with the remaining one approver.
- The workflow step is approved once both approvers have approved.
- The workflow step is expired if no-one disapproves, and one or more approvers fail to post their response within the seven-day expiration window.
Next example, if the CRM Workflow step has a team of ten approvers, an approval criteria of
50% and an expiration setting of seven days.
- The workflow step is disapproved as soon as six approvers disapprove the step since the 50% criteria is no longer possible with the remaining four approvers.
- The workflow step is approved once five approvers have approved the step.
- The workflow step is expired if six or more approvers are still pending seven days after the workflow step first was activated.
