Comments Tab
The Comments tab on the Workflow Step detail view is displayed for steps with an action type of Approval.
- A read-only view of approver and observer comments to date.
- An opportunity for Approvers to Approve, or Disapprove with reviewer comments on an active approval step.
- An opportunity for Observers to post comments on an active approval step.
To open the Comments tab, on the CRM Workflow Step instance detail view, click the Comments tab. See Using the CRM Workflow Step Detail View
Field | Description/Action |

Approve |
The Approve button is available to CRM users included in a pending approval step’s qualified approver list. The Approve button also provides the approver with the opportunity of posting approver comments as part of the approval process. |
Disapprove |
The Disapprove button is available to CRM users included in a pending approval step’s qualified approver list. The Disapprove button also provides the approver with the opportunity of posting approver comments as part of the disapproval process. |
Comments |
The Comment button is available to CRM users included in a pending approval step’s qualified approver or observer list. The Comments button also provides the approver or observer with the opportunity of posting comments to the pending approval step. |
Comment log | Summary log of approver and observer comments to date. |
- Approval, or Disapproval submissions may be updated by the original approver while the step is in a pending status.
- Only CRM users included in the set of approvers may approve or disapprove the step.
- CRM users included in either the set of approvers or the set of observers may post comments against the approval step. Updated comments will overwrite prior comments by the approver or observer for the approval step
- The listing of valid approvers for a specific step instance may be customized via the Approvers tab by users with the Administrator role. See Approvers Tab
