Enabling CPQ

To use the CPQ features, you must enable the Infor CPQ integration. This provides you access to:
CPQ Enterprise Quoting
Replace the Infor CRM SLX Quotes interface.
Infor CPQ Configurator
Ability to create and use configured products in Opportunities, Quotes, and Sales Orders.
Note: The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?.

Prior to enabling Infor CPQ, review the requirements. For more information, see Infor CPQ Overview.

Requirements to enable Infor CPQ, you must ensure:

  • Infor CPQ Enterprise Quoting is implemented and configured.
  • Infor CPQ Enterprise Quoting integration configuration parameters and endpoints are defined in the application, Infor CPQ integration form, Configuration Group, and on the EQ Configuration tabs.
  • The EQ BOD Pack is deployed and configured with the corresponding ION Connection Point Logical ID.
  • Infor CRM Master Data Consolidation is enabled and existing data has been converted. For steps, see What is Master Data consolidation.
  • The application and Infor CPQ Enterprise Quoting must be provisioned in a common Infor LTR (Ming.le) tenant.

To enable the CPQ user interface:

  1. Select Administration > Integration. The Integrations list view is displayed.
  2. Click Infor CPQ. The Integration detail view is displayed.
  3. View this information:
    Field Description/Action
    Integration Infor CPQ

    The name of the integration.
    Version The version of the integration.
    Sync Method Does Not Sync

    Indicates the process in which information is synchronized between the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX.
    Authentication Type Basic

    The method for authenticating data.

    Note: The integration can fail, if the authentication type is changed.
    Link Type System

    The type of link used to synchronize data with the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX.

    Note: The data is managed through a single link.
    Enabled Use this option to enable or disable synchronization process for the integration.
    Note: When enabled, this option synchronizes data with the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX. This makes all the subsequent synchronization options available.
  4. Verify whether the Enabled check box is selected. To disable Infor CPQ, clear the Enabled check box.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the Configuration Group tab and define the content based on the CPQ configurator product rule sets. For steps, see the Configuration Groups tab.
  7. Click the EQ Configuration tab, update content based on the Infor LTR Infor OS (Ming.le) implementation of CPQ Enterprise Quoting (for CPQ Enterprise Quoting only). See The EQ Configuration tab.
  8. Update Infor EQ Back Office Logical ID to correspond to the logical ID of the Infor EQ connection point in ION Desk (for CPQ Enterprise Quoting only).
