Configuring ION Workflows

The ION Workflow integration integrates Infor CRM based activity with the Infor LTR collaboration tools.

Note: 
  • The system administrator and users with the appropriate role can access these features. See What are Roles and Secured Actions?
  • The name of the workflow in the application must match the name of the workflow defined in ION Desk.
  • The name of the workflow field mappings in the application must match the name of the workflow attribute in ION Desk.
  • The workflow name and the corresponding attribute names are case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.
  • You can define additional entities, for ION Workflow, if required, in the Application Architect. See the Application Architect Help : Exposing Entities, Properties, and Relationships to CRM Workflows for detailed steps.
    Note: A portal build and deployment is required when additional entities, relationships or properties are defined in the entity model.
  1. Log in to the application Web Client as an administrator.
  2. Select ION Workflow in the Integrations list view. See Using the Integrations list view.
  3. View this information:
    Field Description/Action
    Integration ION Workflow

    The name of the integration.

    Version The version of the integration.
    Sync Method ION

    Indicates the process in which information is synchronized between the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX.

    An explanation is provided, if the information is synchronized between the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX, and if so, describes the synchronization process.

    Authentication Type Basic

    The method for authenticating data.

    Note: The integration can fail, if the authentication type is changed.
    Link Type System

    The type of link used to synchronize data with the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX.

    Note: The data is managed through a single link.
    Enabled Use this option to enable or disable synchronization process for the integration.
    Note: When enabled, this option synchronizes data with the integrated application and Infor CRM SLX. This makes all the subsequent synchronization options available.
  4. Verify the Enabled check box is selected. Clear the Enabled check box to disable the ION Workflow.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click the Options tab. See ION Workflow integration Options tab.
  7. Click the Workflows tab to create and define an ION Workflow. See Integration Workflows tab.
  8. Add workflow mappings. See The ION Workflow Field Mappings tab.
  9. Log in to Infor OS (Ming.le) with the appropriate roles to access ION Desk to define and enable the corresponding Infor LTR based workflow. For more information see the Workflow chapter of the Infor ION Desk User Guide.
