Adding or modifying a journey stage
You can add or modify a journey stage. Journey stages are a collection of steps. For example, the steps in a stage called Qualify can include Solicitation Call, Send Information, and Follow-up.
To add or modify a journey stage:
- Select Journey on the Navigation bar, Administration > Journey. The Journey list view is displayed. See Using the Journeys list view.
- Click the journey in the list or use the Lookup to locate the journey. The selected journey detail view opens. See Using lookup.
- Click the Stages/Steps tab.
- Click the Add Stage on the tab toolbar to create a new stage.
- Click the stage name link of the stage to modify.
- Specify this information:
- Stage Name
- The name of the stage.
- Order
- The numeric order value of the stage within the journey. Determines the order in
which stages should be completed.Note: This is read-only.
- Description
- A brief description of the stage.
- Probability
- The probability of successfully completing the journey after completing the
stage. Note: The probability must increase as each stage is completed.
- Expected Days in Stage
- The number of days it is expected to complete the stage and associated steps.

Use the Update upon Completion section to define the
fields to be updated on completion of the stage. To update the fields:
Note: This is not available for User entity Journeys.
- Select the required field.
- Specify the value corresponding to the selected field. Note: The options are displayed based on the information you are updating.
- Click Add Property to add another property and
repeat the previous steps to select and update each property required to
be updated.Note: If updating the Account Manager, Divisional Manager, or Regional Manager on an account journey, you can select the Cascade option to cascade the change to the related contacts, open opportunities, open quotes and open sales orders.
- Click Remove Property to remove an item.

Click OK to save the stage and
close the window.
Note: You can also click Save and New to save the record and clear the check box so you can create a new journey stage.
