About product filter attributes

Product filter attributes are characteristics that you specify to help users narrow their search in the Product Catalog. For example, if you manufacture doors, you could create product filter attributes for Size, Material, and Color and specify values for each that apply to your different kinds of doors. You would then assign the attributes to each door type and enable the appropriate attribute values.

In the Product Catalog, after CPQ Enterprise Quoting users select a category of doors, they are presented with the filter attributes that you have defined, so they can narrow the list of doors to choose from.

Price Range and Product Type filter attributes are provided by default. Custom attributes are defined on the Product Filter Attributes form.
