Preferences for direct representatives

The Directs tab is where you specify the defaults that will be used for direct representatives when they create a new quote or order.

If the preferences on this tab are changed, the changes apply only during the creation of new direct reps. Default values are not changed for existing direct reps. These preferences are applied using terms between the manufacturer and the customer/dealer.

Territory settings are also included on the Directs tab, where you can enable or disable territory management and modify the name of the high-level base territory. See also Managing territories (administrator).

Note: These values can be overridden for a selected representative by using the application preference settings on the Representatives form under My Company. See Adding a direct rep user.

Pricing

Field name Description
Price by Select the method that will be used to calculate price.
Display Options Set the default display setting for discounts and markups.
Display Subtotal (MSRP) The MSRP is the subtotal of the quote line items before any discounts or upcharges are applied. This option allows you to hide or show the MSRP (does not include your manufacturer’s discount) in the quote subtotal at the bottom of the quote proposal page.
Display Markup Select to show the increased selling price to the customer.
Display Additional Discount Select to display additional customer discounts on the quote proposal document. These discounts apply to only dealer quotes/orders, and the discount percentage is specified by the dealer for their customers.

Territories

Field name Description
Enable Territory Select to enable the use of territories in the application.
Main Territory Name Specify the name of the main territory. This is selected as the first parent territory when setting up the hierarchy of territories for dealers/customers/direct representatives.

Print Option

Field name Description
Pricing Specify the price that will be printed on quotes or orders.
Display Culture Specify the culture that should be displayed for printing quotes and orders.
Direct File Type Specify the type of file you want to have created when a document is printed in direct mode.
Display Line Details Select to enable the display of line details.
Display Additional Configuration Details Select to show details about each element of a configured item. These details are displayed as a nested grid that can be expanded from a configured item quote or order line entry. These details can also be displayed or hidden on a generated bid document. If selected, the default value is Show All. If cleared, the value defaults to Hide All.
Display Header Comments Select to enable the display of header comments.
Display Terms Comments Select to enable the display of terms comments.
Display Pricing Comments Select to enable the display of pricing comments.
