Preferences for dealer representatives
The Dealers tab is where you specify the defaults that will be used for dealer representatives when they create a new quote or order.
If the preferences on this tab are changed, the changes apply only during the creation of new dealers. Default values are not changed for existing dealers.
Note: These values can be overridden for a selected dealer by
using the settings on the Dealers form, Application Preferences tab.
The dealer administrator can also override these settings using application preference settings in his or her CPQ Enterprise Quoting system. This is explained in the CPQ Enterprise Quoting user guide for dealers.
Pricing

| Discount by | Select the method that will be used to calculate the discount. |
| Price by | Select the method that will be used to calculate the price. |
| Display Options | Set the default display setting for discounts and markups. |
| Display Subtotal (MSRP) | Select this option to display the MSRP (does not include your manufacturer’s discount) in the quote subtotal at the bottom of the quote proposal page. |
| Display Cost | Select this option to display your cost (manufacturers' price with your manufacturer discount) in the quote subtotal at the bottom of the quote proposal page. |
| Display Markup | Select this option to display the increased selling price to the customer. |
| Display Additional Discount | Additional discounts include all further discounts that have been provided to the customer. Discounts that you specify here are displayed on your quote proposal document as an additional discount. This percentage is set by default from your customer’s business terms. You can override this discount. This field reduces the final price by the amount specified in the discount. Include comments in the pricing comments box to track these adjustments. These comments are not printed on the proposal document. |
| Display Subtotal (List) | This option allows you to hide or show the subtotal at the bottom of the quote proposal page. |
Print Option

| Display Culture | Specify the culture that should be used when printing quotes and orders. |
| File Type | Specify the type of file to create when a document is printed. |
| Display Line Details | Select to enable the display of line details. |
| Display Additional Configuration Details | Select to show details about each element of a configured item. These details are displayed as a nested grid that can be expanded from a configured item quote or order line entry. These details can also be displayed or hidden on a generated bid document. If selected, the default value is Show All. If cleared, the value defaults to Hide All. |
| Display Header Comments | Select to enable the display of header comments. |
| Display Terms Comments | Select to enable the display of terms comments. |
| Display Pricing Comments | Select to enable the display of pricing comments. |
