Changing or deleting application settings records

You can modify application setting records as needed, and you can delete them if they are not currently associated with another entity in the system. You can also make records unavailable for further use but leave them in the system while they are still referenced by other records. For example, if UPS has been one of your shipping methods and is referenced by open quotes or orders, but you need to discontinue its use, you can disable the record on the Shipping Methods form. The UPS option will no longer be available for new quotes or orders, but open quotes and orders will get a validation, and you can decide whether to honor it or make customers change their selection.

  1. In CPQ Enterprise Quoting, expand the Application Settings menu option.
  2. Select a record type, such as Countries or Freight Terms.
  3. On the form that opens, you can use the filter fields at the top of the form to find the individual record to work with. The grid is automatically updated based on your search criteria.
  4. Perform one of these actions:
    • To disable the record but leave it in the system, clear its Enabled check box.
    • To remove the record from the system, select it and click the delete icon.
    • To modify the record, select it and click the open icon. Make changes as needed.
