Assigning a child dealer to a parent dealer

This method can be used when creating a new child dealership or for modifying an existing child dealership. This method must be used if the parent dealership does not already have at least one child dealer assigned.

1. On the Dealers form, create a new or open an existing child dealership record.
2. In the Parent Dealer field, select the existing dealership that is to be the parent of this child dealership.
   Note: If the price list of the child dealership does not match that of the selected parent, the child dealership price list is changed automatically.

This method can be used only if you are creating a new child dealership and only if the parent dealership already has at least one child dealer assigned.

1. On the Dealers form, find and open the existing parent dealership record.
2. Scroll down to the Child Dealers tab.
3. Click Create Dealer.
4. Specify the required information. The Price List and Parent Dealer fields are populated automatically.
