Performing Enterprise Quoting tasks on medium-view

The medium-view screens are optimized to provide a seamless experience. You can perform the same tasks in the medium-view as in the regular view of Enterprise Quoting. In this section examples for Order Creation, Document generation and other basic Enterprise Quoting tasks are outlined.

Submitting an order

This task example shows the process of submitting an order beginning at customer creation.

  1. Select Home > Create Customer.
  2. On the Customer screen, specify the Customer Information, General, and Shipping terms.
  3. Click + Create quote.
  4. On the Quote page, click + Add items.
  5. On the Add items page, make your product selections.
  6. To add a non-configurable product, click the Add item button on the product card.
  7. To add a configurable product, click Configure.
    1. In the configurator screen, make the selections for the product configuration.
    2. Click Finish.
  8. On the Add Items screen, click View Quote.
  9. On the Quote page, select the Lines to review or edit the listed items.
    1. Click + or - to increase or decrease the quantity of a line item in the quote.
    2. Use the Delete button to remove line items.
  10. To view the details for a product, click the arrow beside the price to expand the details section.
    1. Click the ... > Change options to reconfigure the product.
    2. Click ... > Copy to create a copy of the product.
  11. Select the Summary.
  12. Specify the Customer, Header Details, and Ship to Information details.
  13. Click Convert to order.
  14. On the Convert to Order screen, select Yes, Convert.
  15. On the Order page, click Place Order.
  16. On the Place Order form, review or modify the information for the order.
  17. Click Submit to manufacturer.

Adding Write-In items to an Order

You can add write-in items using the ... menu on an order page.

  1. From the navigation panel, select My Orders.
  2. Open an order.
  3. Select ... > Add Write-In Item.
  4. ON the Add Write-In Item form, specify the information to be added to the line details.

Generating a document

Use these steps to generate a bid document using the medium view interface.

  1. From the navigation panel, select My Orders.
  2. Open an order.
  3. Select ... > Generate Document.
  4. On the Generate Document form, specify the General information, Document Properties, and Currency Conversion.
  5. Click Generate document.
    The generated document is downloaded directly on to your device.
