Creating a named configuration

  1. On an open quote or order, select the Action menu icon for the configured line item to save.
  2. In the menu, select Name Configuration.
  3. Specify this information:
    For User
    Specify whether to make the configuration available to only yourself (Current User) or to all users of your CPQ Enterprise Quoting system.
    Name
    Specify a descriptive name for the configuration, so it can be found easily when searching the product list/catalog.
  4. Click OK.

    This configuration is added to the product list (or Product Catalog, when enabled) as an item to select when creating/updating quotes and orders. It is also added to the Named Configurations form, where you can manage existing named configurations.
