Working with the Product Catalog and configurable products

Products refer to your dealership items and the end products that are sold to your customers. The Product Catalog is created and updated by the product manufacturer. It gives you a visual representation and a complete description of each item. Listings can include supplementary attachments, links, or unstructured information related to the item.

Products that are labeled in the Product Catalog as Configurable, contain different parts, components, or sub-assemblies that must be selected before the item can be priced. When you add a configurable product to any quote, the configurator automatically launches and guides you through a series of questions and controlled options. These conditions automatically restrict you from selecting incompatible options, and guide you to select valid combinations.
