Quotes and order privileges
Your ability to create quotes and orders is based on the Quote and Order Privilege that the dealer administrator assigns to you when your account is added to the system. These are the different quote and order privileges:
- None
- Users with this privilege can only view quotes and orders.
- Quote Only
- Users with this privilege can view quotes and orders and create quotes, but cannot convert any full quote or partial quote to an order. Quotes created by a user with this permission must be converted to orders by a different user who has at least the Can Convert Quotes to Orders permission.
- Can Convert Quotes to Orders
- Users with this privilege can view quotes and orders, create quotes, and convert a partial or full quote to an order.
- Can Order Directly
- Users with this privilege can view orders and quotes, create quotes, and convert partial or full quotes to orders. This privilege also permits the user to create an order directly, without having to first create a quote. Only this privilege permits users to directly place and maintain orders.
