On-Behalf-Of single-sign on functionality in CPQ Enterprise Quoting utilizes an “impersonation” feature that enables a representative who has the On-Behalf-Of (OBO) user to view the exact information that a dealer or representative has available in their view. On-Behalf-Of mode removes any concept of a direct sales dealership and provides access or in-access to the direct quotes.

The OBO representative functions as a general or specific representative of a dealership who has permissions that are limited to viewing only the dealership specific information while the OBO representative is creating quotes and orders for the dealership. Additionally, the OBO representative also has the ability to add customers, my items, and named configurations for a dealership.
