Spreading translated values

To spread translated values:

  1. Select a data entry view designed for top down spreading translated values.
  2. Click Consolidation to run a currency consolidation to roll up leaf values and update values prior to performing a top down spread.
  3. Select a cell on the reporting grid that belongs to a consolidation member. For example, Total Year. Do not specify a value directly on the grid (as with local currency). All cells are locked for grid data entry.
  4. Click Perform Top Down Spread.
  5. Specify the translated value.
  6. Click Perform Top Down Spread to spread the value to leaf members, submit data, run a currency consolidation, and refresh the grid.
  7. If any off-grid member is a leaf member, change the member selection to include top-level members and run another consolidation to ensure that all data affected by the top down spread has been fully consolidated to reflect the new values.
    This step may not be required if applications are configured by the administrator to consolidate to the highest level after a top down spread is performed. To verify, contact your administrator.
