Rules
- Only leaf units with
established investor relationships are available for selection in the first
list.
- Each time you change any
unit selection, the grid refreshes. Additionally, when you change the primary
unit selection, the contents of the consolidation unit list changes.
- The Ownership Properties
page displays the values stored in the database. Therefore, after calculating
percents, you should always refresh the grid to see the results.
- If the unit type is
Control or Non-Legal, the consolidation method is Full. The consolidation
method for this unit cannot be overridden.
- If the unit type is
Holding or Legal and an override method is not specified, the effective control
percent determines the consolidation method, according to the defined percent
range for each method.
- If the consolidation
method is not applicable, None displays. This occurs when:
- The unit is a top
holding (control holding) company but is not a descendant of the consolidation
unit.
- The unit is owned by
another company and the effective control percent is null (such as when the
unit is owned by a unit in another subgroup).
- The Proportional
consolidation method always uses the consolidation percent displayed on the
Ownership Properties page.
- Each consolidation unit
can hold a different ownership percent in the selected unit, depending on the
number of holding companies that hold an interest in the unit and where those
holding companies reside in the hierarchy.
- If you select All
(Display Only), a reporting option, from either list, the entire grid is
read-only (including Override). If you select the option from the first list,
every leaf unit with established investor relationship displays. For each leaf
unit on the grid, the ownership percents relative to each consolidation unit
display. If you select the option from the second list, the ownership percents
for only the selected leaf unit displays (relative to each consolidation unit).
