Running Copy Ownership Data
To run Copy Ownership Data:
- Open the Copy Ownership Data page.
- From the Version Source list, select the version whose data you want to copy.
- Select the version to receive the copied data. The destination version can be the same as the source version if the destination period range is different than the source period range.

Select a starting and ending source period.
- The period range must be within the same year.
- The ending period must be in the same hierarchical level as the starting period. For example, you can select Quarter 1 to Quarter 2 but not Quarter 1 to June.
- For an application with a separate Year dimension, select one source year, and then select a period range.

Select a starting and ending destination period.
- The period range must be within the same year.
- The ending period must be in the same hierarchical level as the starting period. For example, you can select Quarter 1 to Quarter 2, not Quarter 1 to June.
- The destination period range must include members of the same hierarchical level as the source period range. For example, if the source range is defined as Quarter 1 to Quarter 1, the destination range must also be defined by quarters, such as Quarter 1 to Quarter 4.
- The destination period range must be different than the source period range if the source and destination versions are the same and the source and destination years are the same.
- The destination year can be different than the source year.
- Clear the Include Period Descendants check box if you only want to copy data for a specified non-leaf hierarchical level in the Period dimension.
- Select one unit hierarchy.
- Click Copy Ownership Data.
