Categories

The transactions in each journal section may be divided into one or more categories. These categories display in the report only if selected in the Options for Intercompany Transaction Detail Report dialog box.

Within requested tolerance

The Within Requested Tolerance category displays the intercompany transactions for a specific unit and affiliated unit whose values fall within the specified tolerance. This is the desired category for transactions, which are eliminated with no remainder when journal data is prepared (via the Prepare Intercompany Eliminations process) and consolidated.

Outside of requested tolerance

The Outside of Requested Tolerance category displays the intercompany transactions for a specific unit and affiliated unit whose values fall outside any tolerance set below 100%. These transactions are eliminated with a remainder if unacceptable discrepancies are not corrected before journal data is prepared (via the Prepare Intercompany Eliminations process) and consolidated.

Rounded amounts that seem to match may be considered outside the tolerance if the actual decimal values stored in the database are not equal.

Missing unit or affiliated unit

The Missing Unit or Affiliated Unit category displays the intercompany transactions with missing data for either the specifying unit or affiliated unit. In general, these transactions are eliminated with a remainder representing the missing amount if any discrepancies are not corrected before journal data is prepared (via the Prepare Intercompany Eliminations process) and consolidated.
