You can take a value and distribute it among selected cells according to a definition, also known as a profile. The profile specifies the proportions by which to spread or modify the data. You can edit data across one or more rows or down one or more columns. The new values replace any existing numbers in the selected cells. You can spread quarterly or annual totals across rows (or down columns) using the standard Even Spread or 445 profiles or your own customized spread profile. |

Refresh Data lets you refresh the data in your data entry view with data from the database. Refreshing data is useful for picking up any changes resulting from an automatic local consolidation that runs when saving data to the database. If the local consolidation is still running when the automatic refresh takes place, the changes do not display in the grid until the view is manually refreshed. If some of the submitted data is outside the focus range, the data that is within the focus range will save to the database, but the data that is outside the focus range will not save to the database. In this case, you will have partially saved data. You can refresh the grid to replace any data outside the focus range with the data currently stored in the database. |

You can submit your data to the database by using the Save Data, Save Data with Local Consolidation , or Submit Data with Local Consolidation toolbar buttons. Save Data updates the database without running a local consolidation. Use this option before finalizing your data. Save Data with Local Consolidation and Submit Data with Local Consolidation update the database and run a local consolidation. They do not update the approval status. You cannot undo these commands. Once you save or submit data, anyone with access to your units can view your data. |
