Running Erase Data
Before erasing data, back up your database.
To run Erase Data:
- Open the Erase Data page.
- From the Start and End lists, select the date range of the data you want to erase. The start and end dates must be within the same year.

Click the underlined dimension names and select the desired
dimension members.
- Schedule Line Items. Select one or more schedules or individual accounts whose data you want to erase. Selecting a schedule as Self automatically includes the descendant lines. You can additionally select individual lines from other schedules.
- lists, select the date range of the data you want to erase. The Organization Unit. Select one or more units. You must explicitly select members as Self or as related members, such as Children or Descendants, to be erased.
- Version. Select one or more versions.
- Product/Sales Channel. Select one or more custom dimension members. You must explicitly select members as Self or as related members (such as Children or Descendants) to be erased.

Click the underlined dimension names and select one member.
- Currency. Select one currency.
- Exchange Rate Set. Select one rate set.

Option Description YTD Only By default, both periodic and year-to-date data are erased. To erase only year-to-date data and retain periodic, select YTD Only. Financial Data, Intercompany Data, Worksheet Detail Data Select the data you want to erase by selecting the check box next to the option. To exclude a data type, clear the check box. At least one option must be selected. Adjusted and Unadjusted Data or Adjusted Data Only By default, Erase Data includes reported and adjusted data. To include only the adjusted financial data resulting from the Consolidation process and/or adjusted intercompany data resulting from the Prepare Intercompany Eliminations process, select Adjusted Data Only. - Click only if you must confirm the total number of rows in each database table to erase. It takes approximately the same amount of time to count the rows as to erase the data so there is a performance impact if you select this option.
