In scope data

The period, specifying unit, and affiliated unit for a transaction must be in scope for elimination data to be created. To be in scope:

• The period must match the journal periodicity and be within the effective life of the Intercompany Eliminations journal. For this reason, only journals whose periodicities and effective lives are within the selected period range are available for selection in the journals list.
• The period must be within the focus range.
• Units required for the selected consolidation unit must be allowed in the view.
• The specifying unit and the affiliated unit must be descendants of the selected consolidation unit. If only the specifying unit is a member, no remainder is calculated and no data is eliminated for either unit in the transaction. These transactions display in the Intercompany Activity Not Eliminated category of the report.
• A web journal adjustment must be submitted to the database with an Available for Posting or Posted status.
