Saving data to the database

Click Save to submit all the data on the grid to the database before exiting the page. You cannot undo a save.

After saving data:

• The affiliated unit and currency cells associated with the specifying unit and account are locked and cannot be changed until a period in a different year is selected. The application assumes a similar transaction may again be required in the current year if the same specifying unit and schedule are later selected in the control area. Consequently, the data entry area automatically displays the same affiliated unit and currency combination to increase data entry efficiency for frequently used transactions.
• Any amounts specified as year-to-date data are converted and saved to the database as periodic data.
• All amounts are rounded according to the rounding rules.
• The grid is not refreshed with data from the database until you click Refresh.
• Be sure to translate your intercompany data into local currency and run a local consolidation prior to validating data or submitting for approval.
