Journal detail drill through
Journal detail drill through can be set up by Infor professional consultants and requires the availability of the ERP journal detail information in predefined database tables or views. Several of Infor ERP's automatically produce these detail tables; check with your Infor consultant for a current list. The detailed ERP journal tables contain a unit's local currency data which is stored as period movement data.
Drill through shows the ERP journal detail that produced the summary value stored in CPM. To use drill through, select the cell you want to investigate and click
. CPM first checks if the selected schedule line supports drill through. Drill through is supported from local, untranslated data for leaf accounts and account subtotals (downfoots). Drill through is not supported from complex CPM formulas. The Custom Drill report evaluates the Accumulation Method setting to determine the information to be presented on the report. For profit and loss accounts, period movement data is the same as CPM's periodic member. When the selected schedule line is a profit and loss account and the accumulation method is set to periodic, the report shows the journal detail for the selected period. When the selected schedule line is a profit and loss account and the accumulation method is set to year-to-date, the report shows the journal detail from the beginning of the year through the selected period.
CPM does not store period movement data for balance sheet accounts. When the selected schedule line is a balance sheet account, the report shows the journal detail from the beginning of the year through the selected period. The source journal detail may not have a journal opening the year; if it is not available, the balance sheet detail will not contain this value.
